Best is the first person with number 7 in M.U. He started his youth career for Manchester United from 1961-1963. Then he was promoted in senior team. Best played for senior team from 1963-1974. So total Best played for Manchester United for 14 years. Best made his debut in 14 September 1963 against West Bromwich Albion at Old Trafford. Although Best didn't score in that match, but M.U. can win with slight score, 1-0. Best made his second appearance on December 28 against Burnley. And in that match, Best scored his first goal for Manchester United. United win 5-1 in that match.
In 1974, he left Manchester United. He was 27 that time. It's not too old for a football player. But he quit M.U. for good. In total, Best made 470 appearance for all competitions for United. He scored 179 goals, and became a top scorer for six consecutive seasons. Best died on 25 November 2005. The cause of dead is the side effects of immuno-supperssive drugs used to prevent his body from rejecting his transplated liver. On November 20, five days before he died, he left message for all people in this world. The message is "Don't die like me."
